What and experience! Working with Mark helps to condition my mind as well as my body. So many exercises are focused only on repetitive motion and “Sets”. With Mark you never know what you are going to get. His workouts make you focus on speed, endurance, accuracy and form. I usually schedule my workouts with Mark after work so that I can pound out my frustrations while taking off some pounds. I must say I am now in better shape than I was when I was in high school!

I never thought I would look forward to an hour of hard exercise and sweat...but every
week I look forward to the time I spend at Patton Boxing. Yes there is the improvement I see
in my physical and mental health, But the encouragement and sincere attention to my goals
given by Mark have more to do with my accomplishments than anything else.

300 Challenge?
- 25 pull-ups
- 50 deadlifts at 135 pounds
- 50 push-ups
- 50 box jumps with a 24-inch box
- 50 "floor wipers" (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds)
- 50 "clean and press" at 36 pounds (a weight-lifting exercise)
- 25 more pull-ups -- for a total of 300 reps
- 1 mile Spin
With turning 40 this year, I never dreamed I would ever sign up to
participate in a 300 Challenge. I had been working out with Mark for
awhile and he somehow convinced me that I would be able to do it. Mark
worked with me twice a week for 3 months to get me ready to compete. He
Pushed me and my body further than I ever thought possible. He is the
most encouraging trainer I have ever worked with and he always has a
smile on his face. He truly loves what he is doing and cares about his
clients. I competed in the 300 Challenge and finished it in just over
32 minutes. I would never have been able to accomplish this without the
training and inspiration Mark provided.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that since I started with
Patton Boxing over a year ago, I have not lost one bar fight!.... ok I
haven't been in a fight ever, but Mark has made me more fit, while
having a blast. I go twice a week and would do it every day if I could.
The workouts are never the same but as I have told Mark," EVERY night is
wet t-shirt night at Patton Boxing." Don't miss out on the fun! (age 55).

I thoroughly enjoy my workouts with Mark each week. I never know what to expect.
I've said a few times that training last year for a half marathon was easier than
working out with Mark! I've never been so sore! However, he pushes me to limits that
I normally would not strive for; sometimes to my surprise I do better than I expect. It's
always challenging but fun as I always come back for more!

I am so glad I was able to have my son take advantage of your great program. Brendan
really enjoys going to your session every week. I know that he is getting a great
physical workout along with learning a valuable skill. It reassures me that he will
be able to protect himself in the event that he would need to. Your sessions also

My proudest fete is being a mother of five. Being a mother of five means little
or no time for me. Between taking kids to sporting events, staying up late with
homework assignments, you would think I had enough physical activity to stay in
shape. The kids have their activities, my husband plays golf weekly, but what did
I do for myself. I've tried buying equipment to work out on my own, but never had
the discipline. That all changed when I met Mark! I was looking for something unique,
something different and something fun. I never exercised in a consistent manner
and was nervous about whether or not I could handle the workout. I signed up. I
was asked what I wanted to get out of the program. I didn't want to become a professional
boxer, but I didn't want to be a frail old woman either! The one-on-one attention
is phenomenal. The session is about me! 14 weeks later, my husband has commented
about how my arms and legs are looking good! My children have noticed I'm getting
stronger and are actually coming to me for tips on getting ready for their sports
season! They can't wait until I come home after my boxing session to see what I
did this week! I have one son who makes sure I do my "homework" in between boxing
sessions! It is the quickest time frame of my week, and I enjoy every minute! It's
more than a program for me and it isn't just boxing. It is a total workout, and
you don't need expensive equipment! I'm gaining discipline, I'm gaining definition
in my arms and legs, I'm not as "tired" when doing the simplest of tasks, and I'm
having a blast!
